Corset
tops were typically for chest support for ladies. But over time, these pieces
have grown to be the epitome of sexy attire. Try your hands at making your own
corset top.
Step
One
Gather
your supplies. To produce a corset top, you will need the next:
Two
colors of material (one vibrant solid, one patterned)
Scissors
Calculating
tape
Satin
ribbon (both thin and thick)
Grommet
punch and grommets
Other
things you want to add-ons your corset top with (laces and ribbons, lace,
patches, etc.)
Step
Two
Measure
and cut the sections for your size. Add 1" for that seam allowance. Here's
your total chest size. Then measure out of your armpit for your waist (or
perhaps your preferred period of your corset top) and again, add 1" for
seam allowance. Here's your corset length.
For
the side sections, take away the width of the front panel (9" - 11")
out of your chest size. Then take away another 4" - 6" from that, for
the way wide you would like the panel to become, or how open you would like the
rear of your corset the top to be. Appraise the amount on your other fabric
(patterned), and cut an oblong piece that's your side panel size across from
your corset bustier length. Once cut, fold this piece in two and cut
across the fold to produce two identical side sections.
Step
Three
Attach
ribbon towards the front of the corset. Fold your ribbon in two and lay the
center of it at the base of the front panel. Pin it in position. Just like a
shoe lace, position both sides from the ribbon upward either to fringe of the
leading panel, developing a crises-mix pattern along the way. Pin each place
that you simply fold your ribbon. Continue this pattern completely your corset top,
after which sew the ribbon in position each and every fold when you are happy
the ribbon is even. Tie the rest of the ribbon inside a bow towards the top of
your corset top.
Step
Four
Add
grommets. You can now add some grommets to the rear of your corset top.
Construct your grommets first to determine what look you need to create at the
rear of your Dots Corset Bustier top. Then punch that quantity of holes both in sides.
Make certain you retain the grommet holes the same distance apart.
When
the grommets have established yourself, you need to simply lace the rear ribbon
through. Make use of the thicker ribbon with this, and make up a crises-mix
pattern just like the leading of the corset top. Finish off with the addition
of any other laces and ribbons or touches, and showcase your corset top with
pride.
